No less than 18 people, including women and children, were killed by a group of suspected bandits in a new attack in the town of Kurya Madaro, in the local government area of Kaura Namoda, in the state. by Zamfara.

Local resident Malam Mohammed Lawali Kurya, who narrowly escaped the attack, told Blueprint in Gusau on Wednesday that thugs stormed the town at around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He said the bandits including men and women, rode camels and horses with dangerous weapons during the invasion of their city.

Kurya also said the bandits set a police operational vehicle, trailer, four other community-owned vehicles and numerous shops on fire in the attack.

“Immediately they started the attack, even our district chief informed the army and other security personnel, but we did not see them until the next morning today (Wednesday)”, he added.

“I suspect that these people were not Nigerians but from the Republic of Niger because their way of dressing and the intonation of their language indicated that they are not Nigerians,” he added.

While calling for the deployment of more troops, he said all those killed in the chaos were buried according to Islamic rites.

“We buried 18 of our people who were horribly killed by the bandits last night, in accordance with today’s Islamic principles,” the source added.

However, all efforts to reach the image maker of the State Police Command, SP Muhammd Shehu on Development have turned out to be unsuccessful.

A similar move to also reach Police Commissioner Ayuba N. Elkana by our reporter also failed as he allegedly held a crucial security meeting at the time of this report.

Katsina

And in another attack, bandits killed 10 people on Tuesday morning and injured several others, setting fire to shops and homes in the community of Yasore, Katsina state.

Yasore is less than two kilometers from Batsari, the seat of the local government area of the same name.

Batsari is one of the LGAs witnessing relentless bandit attacks in Katsina.

It shares borders with Rugu Forest, Jibia Local Government Area in Katsina and Zurmi in Zamfara State.

The state government has cut off the mobile telecommunications network in Batsari and 13 other local government areas in the state as part of efforts to address insecurity.

Local resident Harisu Hamza said Bonus hours newspaper that the attackers came by motorbike and started shooting sporadically.

“They came around Magrib’s prayers. Some people had finished their prayers by then. They rode more than 20 motorcycles. It was during the sporadic shooting that they killed 10 people and injured others, ”he said.

He added that they left minutes after 10 a.m. when a combined team of police, militia and soldiers arrived in the community.

Hamza, who lives in the metropolis of Katsina, said the bandits “took away food and other things they needed during the attack.”

It was further established that some of the injured were admitted to Katsina General Hospital.

State Police spokesman Gambo Isa said he was in a meeting when Bonus hours reporter called him.

However, he did not respond to the text messages sent to him.

A kidnapped student

Similarly, a 23-year-old student from Bayero University in Kano, Sakina Bello, has been kidnapped.
Kano, a northwestern state, has been unaffected by the growing security concerns plaguing the region for some time.

The student, it was learned, was kidnapped on Tuesday alongside Janbulo and Rijiyar Zaki in the metropolis of Kano.

The 300-level botany student was allegedly abducted in a commonly known tricycle Adai Daita Sahu by his captors.

“She left the house around 3 pm Tuesday and was only able to come back then. She was supposed to go to Janbulo from our house in Rjiyar Zaki.

“They called his older brother around 9 pm and informed him that she was their hangout and that they would call back on Wednesday. And the next thing they did was demand a ransom of N100 million, ”a family source said.

The state police command confirmed the development and said efforts were being made to trace it.
“We received a report of a missing person from Rjiyar Zaki and immediately took action to find him. The command is doing more to make sure she is found and reunited with her family, ”he said.

Prince Andrew was pictured on horseback near Windsor Castle with two assistants. The Duke of York wore a blue jacket, gloves and a black and white helmet as he rode his horse.

Andrew lives at the Royal Lodge, a short drive from the Queen’s House in Berkshire, and in the past he has been spotted driving around the area on many occasions.

These recent photographs of the Duke come after Prince Andrew was seen leaving Balmoral Castle, where he spent several weeks this summer, on September 30.

Andrew was pictured smiling and waving to well-wishers while driving.

His return trip south of the border came after his legal team officially admitted that the Duke had been served with a civil action against him in New York federal court by Virginia Giuffre – who was one of the accusers of billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Prince Andrew has until October 29 to respond to the trial.

The next hearing is scheduled for November 3.

Ms Giuffre claims she was sexually assaulted by the prince when she was 17.

In her lawsuit, she claims the Duke engaged in sexual acts with Ms Giuffre without her consent.

She alleges that Prince Andrew knew how old she was at the time and “that she was a victim of sex trafficking”.

The Duke of York has always and firmly denied the allegations against him.

He discussed his association with Epstein, who died in prison in August 2019, during an interview with Newsnight’s Emily Maitlis.

Asked about Ms Giuffre, Andrew said he had “no recollection of meeting her”.

DO NOT MISS

When asked if, as Ms Giuffre alleged, he had dinner with her, danced at Tramp and slept with her in a London Belgravia house, Andrew also replied: “I can absolutely tell you that it does not. never happened. “

Prince Andrew’s return to England at the end of September also allowed him to finally meet his granddaughter, the first child of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The happy couple welcomed their baby into the world on September 18 at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

But they didn’t publicly announce his name until a day after Andrew left Balmoral on October 1.

Speaking to Twitter, Beatrice said: “We are delighted to share that we have named our daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.”

This name pays homage to both Edoardo’s Italian roots and the baby’s relationship with the Queen.

Beatrice and Edoardo haven’t shared a photo of their daughter but instead posted a cute photo showing her footprints.

In her brief statement, Beatrice also provided an update on how her family is adjusting to the baby’s arrival and included Edoardo’s five-year-old son Christopher Woolf, known as Wolfie.

She said: “We are all doing well and Wolfie is Sienna’s best big brother.”

While Prince Andrew had to wait several days before he could meet Sienna, adoring grandmother Sarah Ferguson reportedly returned from Balmoral a day before Beatrice gave birth.

Another member of the York family who will likely have met the newborn is Princess Eugenie, who, with the arrival of Sienna, has become an aunt.

Hours after Buckingham Palace announced the birth of the royal baby to the public, Sarah and Andrew’s youngest daughter took to Twitter to write a message to Sienna.

She wrote: “To my new niece I love you already and I think you are just awesome from the photos… we are going to have so much fun together.”

At Peaceful Acres, a female and veteran owned equine facility, there is almost 30 years of experience working and sharing knowledge about horses.

But Peaceful Acres, 8022 Cedar Creek Road in Temple, is more than a local riding school for area residents.

It is also an equine rescue center, adoption center and non-profit boarding school, and offers educational classes, horse camps, Bit ‘N Bridle badges for Girl Scouts, birthday parties, photo shoots, easy breaking up and training classes.

The equine facility also recently expressed this gratitude to all who have adopted through them.

“Each of you is amazing,” said Peaceful Acres. “I’m so glad you found us and fell in love with one, two or three of our amazing rescues. I can’t wait for them… to start making memories. You have made this year a banner year for us so far. Enjoy your new babies.

While Peaceful Acres continually makes progress in its equine rescue and adoption efforts, it still takes pride in its stature as a teaching stable.

“If you have a youngster who loves horses, wants to be a vet, run an equine center or just have his own horse, this is where he will learn everything there is to learn about these amazing creatures and what to do with them. will have fun doing it safely, ”according to Peaceful Acres.

This educational component includes teaching riders proper horse safety, pre-riding care, how to buckle up equipment, and the differences between gait and quarter type horses.

Virginia Passavant Henderson, a longtime resident of Darien, passed away at The Residence at Selleck’s Woods on September 23, 2021. She was 99 years old.

Obituary of Virginie Henderson

Virginia Henderson, 99, died on September 23. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

She was originally called Lillian Virginia but was best known as Passy or Sis.

Born July 14, 1922 in Zelienople, Pennsylvania, a town founded by her ancestors in 1802, Sis attended school at Zelienople and Hathaway Brown in Cleveland, where she received a chemistry degree from Connecticut College in 1944.

While at Connecticut College, she met Sid, who was stationed at the US Naval Submarine School in Groton before being shipped to the Pacific during World War II.

After graduation, she worked in a laboratory in New York City until the end of the war, when she and Sid were married in Zelienople on October 5, 1945. Their four children were born there.

When Sid was transferred to the New York area in 1958, they moved to Darien. With the exception of a brief return to Pennsylvania (Sewickley, a community not far from Zelienople), Sis and Sid made Darien their home for the rest of their lives.

Sis was intelligent, strong-willed and motivated. She went from being a wife and mother to a successful businesswoman in her early fifties, when she entered the workforce as a real estate agent. She became one of Darien’s most successful real estate agencies and in 2014, at the age of 92, she received the Realtor Emeritus Award for 40 years of valuable contribution to the profession.

Sis was well known for the care she provided to her clients – baking pecans for them each holiday season, inviting them to parties, and making sure their families were welcome in the community. Many of them, decades younger than her, remained her friends until her death, especially her wonderful Tuesday band who entertained her once a week for 15 years after Sid’s death.

Outside of family and work, Sis was a sociable person who enjoyed fun and socializing at home, at the Wee Burn Country Club, in town, or while visiting her many friends across the country.

Her love of travel took her to many parts of the world, but her favorite was East Africa, which she visited eight times. She was passionate about animals, with a passion for horseback riding that she carried on until she was 80, particularly at the Eatons’ Ranch in Wolf, Wyoming. While Sis has taken in several rescue cats, it was his dogs that won first place in his heart. Sid joked that we would all be lucky to be reincarnated as one of Sis’ dogs.

Sis’ family expresses their deep gratitude to all who cared for and visited her, especially in her later years. They are especially grateful to Sue McGraw, JoAnn and Rocco Mancuso, the Tuesday Group, Maia Hodge, Valery Dieudonne, Shana Gordon and the staff at Selleck’s Woods.

Sis is survived by her four children: Lisa Rosenbloom (Robert) of Ossining, New York; Lucia (Cia) Marion (James III) of Westport, Sidney Henderson III (Louise) of Bend, Oregon, and Leslie Henderson (Robert Maue) of Hanover, New Hampshire. She had eight grandchildren: Philip Rosenbloom (Christina DaCosta), Sidney Henderson IV, James Marion IV (Jordan Paxhia), Kate Rosenbloom, Hetty Marion, Theodore Henderson (Cheryl Wilson), Tyler Maue and Casey Maue (Francisca Santana); as well as three great-grandchildren: Lucien and Caleb Rosenbloom, and Beatrice Paxhia Marion. Sis was predeceased by her husband, Sidney Elliott Henderson Jr. in 2005; his sister, Elizabeth Passavant Kaufmann; and his parents, Charles Sidney Passavant III and Hetty Rodgers Passavant.

A memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church in Noroton at a later date.

Charitable contributions can be made to Darien Emergency Medical Services – Ext. 53 Where The historical society of Zelienople.

Ashley McBryde provides more information on her horseback riding accident last week that took her to hospital.

In a note posted to Facebook Over the weekend, the singer shared that she and friends went for a horseback ride in Montana hours before her scheduled show at Wilma on Wednesday. Ashley says she first enjoyed a gentle ride on a young female named Jenny. But on the way back to the barn, something scared the horse, and Ashley’s foot had slipped out of the stirrup and couldn’t correct it in time.

“We passed the ranch owner to whom I shouted, ‘I lost the stirrup that I can cross,’ and I did. Jenny wasn’t trying to throw me out at all. But she was moving faster than I could stay with just one stirrup and a loss of central balance, ”she explains.

Ashley says when she hit the ground she thought she only hit her shoulder. But during a trip to the emergency room, scans showed she had a “pretty hard” concussion and needed to have her scalp sewn up.

“You know me, I wouldn’t postpone a show for bumps and bruises. But at the moment, I am not able to walk without assistance. We are in contact with my doctors and take everything they say seriously, ”she continues. “And as soon as I can walk through a scene again, that’s exactly where you’ll find me.” Take care of each other. I come back soon.”

Ashley postponed two of her shows last week due to the crash. She’s in the middle of her headlining This Town Talks Tour and will open for Luc Combs on his What You See is What You Get tour.

She took a guided horseback ride at Gibson Ranch on August 14.

One photo shows her on her horse to start the ride, before her horse gets scared and throws her out of her saddle, leaving Reece badly banged up and in hospital with a concussion, black eye, cuts and bruises.

Trail Brothers managed all equestrian services at Gibson Ranch for the past two years until the anniversary hike led to a county investigation and then the termination letter stating the county’s conclusion: “This report confirmed that members of the general public sustained serious injuries. and “The nature and severity of the incidents recorded suggest that Trail Brothers failed to exercise due diligence and due diligence.”

The pandemic has hit everyone hard, but not more than the vulnerable people who have to protect themselves.

An incredible charity, which helps people with disabilities, is still feeling the devastating effects of the pandemic and is fighting to continue doing its precious work.

For 41 years Penniwells Riding for the Disabled Center was nestled in the countryside of Elstree.

Read more: Get the latest news from Hertfordshire

Each week, their staff and army of volunteers make a difference in the lives of many people with disabilities and their families through their special connection to horses.

A foreigner may wonder, what would a few riding lessons do? But this center has built a community and gives people a purpose.

Driving helps improve people’s mobility, they gain confidence and – best of all – they make lifelong friendships.

However, the blockages and countless complications were very difficult for the mental well-being of the group.

It has also been difficult financially, and with the end of government grants and holidays, the charity is in a perilous position and needs your help.

Ponies during a pandemic

Sarah Healing has been running Penniwells for 26 years

The once bustling stables filled with riders, parents and happy faces fell silent as Britain went into lockdown.

Sarah Healing, who has run the yard for 26 years, had to put her staff on leave and close the doors to the 140 runners.

She said: “We went from being full to nothing overnight and it all stopped. We could only hear birdsong and horses.

“It was too quiet and with no people or volunteers they built this place, and without anyone coming, it was so strange.”

She kept in touch with the runners by doing weekly livestreams on Facebook, but it wasn’t always easy to stay upbeat.

She said: “There were a few times where we felt we had to tell people how it was, because it was difficult and I think people appreciated the honesty.

“We had had a few problems, we had had sick ponies, we had been up all night and we were exhausted.

“We said it was bad, we had a horrible week, but people have to know – it was just the most surreal time.

“A lot of people think ‘oh, it must be awesome to go out and play ponies all day’, but it was actually really tough.

“At first it was good, but the novelty wears off because it’s such a popular place, and then the money starts to run out because you have no income.”

Sarah and charity chairdresser Trix Summerfield admitted there was some question as to whether Penniwells would be successful in reopening.

The stables cost over £ 200,000 a year and, without lessons, they have been forced to fundraise for the vast majority of their costs.

Sarah said: “We are very optimistic and positive, we would not have let him down.

“But the reality was that if we hadn’t had all that support, there was a big possibility that he wouldn’t have survived and that would be awful.

“The impact on the community would be huge, we are constantly changing lives every day – it’s not just the cyclists, it’s the volunteers.

“There have been a lot of people with anxiety and mental health issues this year. It’s part of what we do, people have had some serious problems during the year.

Penniwells reopened over Easter, and it really was a lifeline for everyone involved.

Sarah said: “It was quite emotional coming back. It’s amazing even now to see runners coming back, it never gets old.

“Last week, one of our runners is a little girl in a wheelchair, she didn’t communicate at home.

“She came around the corner, saw Dougal in the yard, she squealed, giggled, reached out to reach for him and his mother broke down in tears because she said we had missed contact.

“When we first reopened, they (the runners) just wanted to take a deep breath, they were just breathing, it wasn’t even about the steering, it was just the contact.

“Horses have this peaceful feeling, everything will be fine with them – horses know just what they need.”

Paula netley thomas is a blind rider, who has worked with Penniwells for three years and has reached the level of national competition.

She said: “You can’t really explain this place, it’s the only place where I have complete independence, so I don’t use my cane or my guide dog, I know where everything is and I really don’t understand this It’s like home.

“The lockdown was particularly difficult because there was no opportunity to have that feeling out there, I just don’t have it elsewhere.

“It’s great to be back, it was so emotional, I’ve never experienced anything before.

“It was like that open, happy heart, everything poured in, I knew I missed it but it wasn’t until I got to the door where it was like woosh.

“It wasn’t just me, it was the volunteers, it was the runners and the staff, I think we all experienced it.

“The ponies were delighted to see us, I think the whole sensory explosion, which neither of us expected, was magical.”

How can you help

As the yard begins to operate at full capacity, the Penniwells team is desperate for new volunteers, and you don’t have to be a horse expert to get involved.

Whether it’s maintaining the grounds, fixing the equipment, if you really want to help disabled people or if you just love horses, there is a place for you at the stables.

Trix said: “Sometimes we think we are there for the volunteers as well as the runners and at all levels a lot of people have disabilities that are not apparent.

“We try to support people, that’s really who we are, if it’s our families, we grow up with them, we try to never say no to help people and we always need help.”

Even if you are a real novice, there is a complete initiation and training.

Newcomer Laura Homes said: “I worked in a saddlery years ago and people from Penniwells were coming in so I knew that and I live in Bushey so it’s really close by.

“I love it, everyone is really nice. I really enjoyed being with everyone and meeting a lot of new people, it’s nice to work with the horses again.

“I would say give it a try. It’s a lot of fun and everyone is really helpful, so give it a try.”

Staff member Lauren Beswick moved her life from Birmingham to work at Penniwells.

She said: “I always wanted to get into RDA but never really knew how to do it, so I went for three years training in a different yard and got my bus qualifications, then I saw a job arrive here and that’s it

“I much prefer it, I think people are nicer, everyone gets along and helps each other more than usual, it’s just a nice place.

“We have our regular classes, but we teach everyone, it’s just great to know them and see their progress from my debut four years ago until now. “

The charity continues to fundraise in any way it can, so if you want to help or register as a volunteer, click here.

Freya Cox, contender in the 2021 series of The Great British Bake Off, has been bullied by online trolls because of her passion for horseback riding, with critics saying she shouldn’t call herself vegan.

Freya, 19, is not only the youngest contestant on the Channel 4 show this year, but she’s also the first vegan pastry chef to participate in the program.

While avid Bake Off viewers can’t wait to be greeted at the famous tent starting tomorrow night ahead of its launch, some fans have criticized Freya online for riding because he’s vegan.

The psychology student, who lives with her parents at her home in North Yorkshire so she can take care of her horse Winnie, said she would not use any animal products on Bake Off.

According to The temperature, she deleted a page she had on Facebook devoted to her riding exploits after suffering a backlash.

One person responded to a message from Freya expressing their excitement about participating in Bake Off, writing: “The problem people like me have is, yeah, it’s good that somebody’s got it. ” engages in a general public program promoting vegan food. But please don’t say you have a passion for ethics while you are still riding a horse. ‘

Someone else commented that in their opinion, Freya is “not vegan” but “just plant-based” as some consider horseback riding and other sports involving animals to be “non-vegans”. “.

“If you are still riding, you shouldn’t call yourself vegan and you definitely shouldn’t be on TV calling yourself vegan,” they said.

The reviewer added that in their opinion, it is “no wonder people misunderstand what veganism means when ethics are constantly watered down.”

However, others came to Freya’s defense, lambasting those who “found fault” with the student.

“Instead of seeing this as a big step in showing non-vegan viewers what they can do and possibly helping people eat more plant-based foods AND praise this girl, you have no complaints! Oh, to be the perfect vegan we all try, ”one person said.

When the cast for Bake Off was announced last week, Freya shared how excited she felt in a post on Instagram, writing in the caption: “Honestly, I can’t believe I’m writing this, I’m feel truly blessed to share my passion for vegan cooking on such an amazing program with such an amazing group of people. ‘

Paul Hollywood, one of the show’s judges, recently spoke out against the trolling suffered by the stars of the series, noting that mean words can “hurt people”.

“I had to come out last year to support Laura because it was out of order,” he said, referring to harsh comments aimed at 2020 nominee Laura Adlington.

“I’ve learned to live with it, as hard as it is, but it’s not fair to bakers because they’re raw, they’re new, they’re not used to it and you have to be very careful. ‘

The Great British Bake Off will launch tomorrow night at 8 p.m. on Channel 4.

Residents, landowners and visitors to Dorset are invited to give their views and ideas to help shape Dorset’s next rights-of-way improvement plan.

The Dorset Right-of-Way Improvement Plan is the primary vehicle for Dorset Council, as the local road authority, to identify and prioritize actions to develop and improve the network of footpaths, bridleways, side roads and lanes wider Dorset accesses.

Over the past 18 months, more Dorset residents than ever have found getting out and taking in the fresh air to be heartwarming, restorative and revitalizing. To accomplish this, many have used Dorset’s public rights of way, footpaths, bridle paths and back roads for walking, cycling, off-roading and carriage rides to explore our locality. Some may have discovered paths and places they had never visited before, immersing themselves in the breathtaking landscapes, rich heritage and fascinating natural world of Dorset.

The Dorset Right-of-Way Improvement Plan consultation – which includes online maps – will help us understand the key issues that need to be addressed and allow people to submit location specific concerns and project ideas to help us improve Dorset’s public rights of way.

The investigation will allow respondents to: –

  • Highlight a “missing link” where a new path would join the network.
  • Identify a strategic route connecting communities that could be shared by walkers, riders and cyclists
  • Explore the possibility of creating a safe off-road route where walkers, riders and cyclists must currently use the road
  • Identify the right places to improve the surface of a path, replace studs with doors, and generally indicate where small measures can potentially have a big impact
  • Suggest areas where better signage would be useful
  • Raise concerns and how they might be addressed
  • Reveal historical details such as old studs and river crossings that need to be protected
  • Let us know how we might work together on ideas and initiatives.

While we may not be able to fit all ideas and projects into priority delivery plans, all feedback will be taken into consideration.

Councilor Noc Lacey-Clarke, Senior Cabinet Member for Environment, Travel and Ports at Dorset Council, said:

“The use of public rights of way – the green highways – allows people to get out and truly explore the villages, towns and countryside of Dorset.

The benefits are enormous when an improved trail system can provide car-free walking and cycling routes for all ages and abilities at a “community pace” for local travel; go out, meet and socialize with the local population; opportunities to get out of your home and stay active, relax and unwind; a way to take the time to explore and notice the details that we often overlook. Our trails help us all discover Dorset’s rich and varied natural and historical heritage.

Participate in this investigation is a real opportunity for the people of Dorset to let us know what they think works and what needs to be done to improve the way our residents and visitors can enjoy walking, cycling and horse riding while making sure to protect the very landscapes that these paths take them through. “

After collating and reviewing comments from consultation, Dorset Council officials will draft a new Rights of way improvement plan early next year. This plan will be publicly consulted in the spring, and the final version will be released and presented to Cabinet for approval in the summer of 2022.

Please complete the questionnaire and maps online here before midnight on October 31.

Irish red hopeful Stevie ‘The Hitman’ McKenna turned to power as he galloped to his first league title.

The undefeated KO welterweight king and his equally talented brother Aaron, an undefeated super welterweight talent, both started riding to help their active recovery after strenuous training sessions.

Leader McKenna is featured on promoter Mick Hennessy’s big poster on Friday, September 10 at Coventry Skydome Arena, featuring Sam Eggington’s defense of his WBC Silver Middleweight Championship against undefeated French sensation Bilel Jkitou, exclusively live and free on Channel 5 in the UK and Ireland.

The County Monaghan ace came out of the starting gates as a pro, hitting a perfect 8-0 and flattening the whole thing by knockout – with five to come in the first round – and is in the saddle on the fast lane to his first. champion title.

Stablemates Stevie, 24, and Aaron, 22, recently took on the Sport of Kings on their return to Ireland after the lockdown and the brothers are now regulars at the Mullaghmore Equestrian Center at the luxury 5-star Castle Leslie hotel in Monaghan .

He said: “It started when Aaron and I came back from America to Ireland after the lockdown and we were looking for something to do on the weekends and we got the idea to go horseback riding.

“In Los Angeles we were jet skiing and shooting on our days off, we were always doing some sort of active recovery from our workouts, so back in Ireland we took up horseback riding and I’m glad I did.

“It’s very exciting and we get a great thrill from it. We get an adrenaline rush out of it just like you do in the ring, once the horse gallops up quickly and then once you start galloping it is a really amazing feeling.

“It’s a dangerous sport, but we are not afraid of anything and we have great instructors to do it safely. We decided to take it back and we learned pretty fast, it didn’t take long. to ride a horse and get used to it and we really appreciate it.

“It’s tough on the legs and you have to use your core and your balance to make it work. Instead of lying on the couch on a Sunday and doing nothing, you go horseback riding and we really feel the benefits when we get back to the gym.

“Balance is essential when you are standing on the horse and using the core, which also helps us when we are taking a day off and actively recovering. It fits well into our training program.

“We hope to do anything on the horse like gallop, jump as high as possible, we are ready for anything, we are still really learning and it will happen over time, but so far we are really enjoying it. ‘excitation.

The McKennas are even considering owning a stable of champion horses one day, but for now Stevie has the blinders on as he focuses on the World Championship title.

He added: “I hope one day we can own a few horses ourselves, but our goal right now is to become world champions first.

“We’re both a little tall to be jockeys, I’m 6 ‘1” and Aaron’s 6’ 2 “so we would probably need a jockey, our brother Gary is a bit shorter so we can use him !

“Watch out Paul Townend and Rachael Blackmore, in the future who knows, we might give them their money’s worth!”
